Ophthalmology centre in Tampere
The Finnmedi 6 Ophthalmology Centre and a hospital ward were designed as an addition to the Tampere University Hospital (TAUH) [Finnish: Tampereen yliopistollinen sairaala (TAYS)]. The ophthalmology centre directly adjoins the seven-story ward via a tall central hall. The building, which covers 6500 gross square metres, was designed in conjunction with architectural office Erkki Helamaa ja Keijo Heiskanen Oy. The centre’s opening ceremony was held in February 2012. Images: Jukka-Pekka Hyvönen
